Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga uses a silk hammock to support you either fully or partially during your practice. This can enable you the ability to perform advance postures that would normally take years to learn. It greatly helps in fine tuning the principles of alignment, as well as experiencing the benefits both mentally and physically from the body hanging upside down.

Aerial Yoga gives a total body workout, improving flexibility and easing back problems because the hammock supports the spine, enabling it to lengthen naturally while easing tension in the spinal cord and hip joints. It increases strength and puts you in a great mood, getting your adrenaline going against gravity and releasing feel good hormones such as serotonin, dopamine and endorphins. Aerial Yoga improves balance, aids digestion, combats ageing, helps to detoxify the circulatory and lymph systems, and improves memory.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, also known as Yoga Sleep, is a meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total mental, emotional and physical relaxation.

An hour of Yoga Nidra can be as restorative as 4 hours of natural sleep.

Yoga for Cancer

Cancer patients who practice Yoga as therapy during their treatment often refer to their Yoga practice as a life-saver. The healing power of Yoga helps both cancer patients and cancer survivors. No matter how sick from treatments and no matter how little energy, many find the one thing that brings relief is a gentle set of therapeutic Yoga poses geared for cancer patients.

When battling cancer, the worst part is not just the symptoms of the disease itself, but often the discomfort and debilitating fatigue brought on from cancer treatments. Whether faced with the scar-tissue of surgery or ongoing nausea and weakness from chemotherapy or radiation, cancer patients endure a long road of physical trials.

But as many cancer patients and cancer survivors are discovering, there are ways to strengthen their bodies and deal with the uncomfortable side-effects of treatment, both during and after treatment.

As the interest in more holistic approaches to healing is growing, Yoga therapy for cancer patients and cancer survivors is emerging as one of the more successful methods for combating the physical discomfort of cancer and cancer treatment.

How does Yoga help relieve the suffering that cancer all too often brings with it? Gentle Yoga poses for cancer patients can work magic on many levels, find out more by clicking the button below.

REIKI HEALING

A Reiki treatment consists of laying the hands on the body in a prescribed pattern and allowing the energy of life to flow through the hands to the person being treated. The basic element of life is the essence of this healing practice. Because this is so, Reiki can be used in any situation where there is a desire for openness and healing.

WALKING

The Corfu trail literally begins at the door of Serendipity by the Lake. It is a 220km trail covering the whole island, and our place is a perfect starting or stop-off point.
